SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – Cal Poly’s registered dietician, Megan Coats, will now be answering any nutrition or dietary questions every Wednesday from 11a.m. – 1p.m. on the Cal Poly Campus Dining Facebook page.
This campaign was launched on Wednesday, April 1 and has already been successful in answering questions concerning creating balanced meals, tricks for vegetarians, and healthy breakfasts, all while dining on campus. Posters will also be placed in various restaurants to create health awareness using #didyouknow.
Megan Coats is Cal Poly’s new registered dietitian from Seattle Washington. Coats attended Washington State University where she achieved her undergraduate degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition and credentials as a registered dietitian. Coats also has a background in the clinical setting, nutrition education and support. She looks forward to providing students and staff with quality information that empowers them to make healthy food and lifestyle choices.
Campus Dining offers a wide variety of restaurants and markets on campus and is dedicated to providing a variety of fresh foods and service to their Cal Poly customers.
