SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – This November, Cal Poly Corporation’s Marketing and Communication department took home seven international MarCom awards for campaigns created to promote the excellence and hard work of Administration and Finance, Campus Dining and the Corporation.

The department came away with three platinum awards, four gold awards and five honorable mentions. The MarCom awards is one of the largest, most respected creative competitions in the world, administered by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals.

“These awards are really a recognition of the amazing work coming out of so many departments throughout campus,” Corporation Marketing and Communication Director Ellen Curtis said. “Cal Poly is filled with staff dedicated to student success, and we simply have the pleasure of working with them to tell their stories and promote their hard work.“

The platinum awards were given in recognition of the Campus Dining’s Choosewell Ambassadors campaign that promotes healthy eating initiatives, the Superfoods program that encourages, teaches and informs visitors of nutritionally dense foods, and for the Corporation’s work in planning, promoting and executing the USA Pentathlon National Qualifier.

Cal Poly’s new dining complex, Vista Grande, brought in two gold awards for the clean and fresh logo designs for the restaurants Streats and the Sweet Bar. Additionally, two gold awards were given in recognition of the Administration and Finance’s Inside Cal Poly Blog and Campus Dining’s Faces Behind the Food campaign.
