On March 4, Cal Poly Partners will celebrate the organization’s new name with a campus-wide event that invites everyone to “March Fourth” with Cal Poly Partners.
The campus community is invited to 1901 Marketplace from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to celebrate with the Cal Poly Marching Band, a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated dining facility and a partner fair where students, faculty and staff can connect with the different teams within Cal Poly Partners and learn how they directly impact students, faculty and staff.
“A lot has happened recently with our name change and the reopening of 1901 Marketplace, so we are going to take this opportunity to celebrate those milestones with the campus community,” Cal Poly Partners Chief Executive Officer Cody VanDorn said. “This is our chance to invite everyone to share in so many of the accomplishments that we have partnered with the university in over the years.”
Cal Poly Partners, formerly known as Cal Poly Corporation, changed its name to better reflect its work, vision and mission to be the most impactful Cal Poly partner.
As a nonprofit organization, Cal Poly Partners has been an integral part of the fabric that has made Cal Poly thrive for over eight decades.
The name change will help increase awareness and advocacy for Cal Poly Partners and its purpose as a nonprofit partner to the university. It will also introduce the potential for expanded cross-campus and community partnerships, thus increasing opportunities for positive student impact.
