The retirement party will celebrate Vista Grande’s 43-year history. Vista Grande is Campus Dining’s longest functioning dining venue. Favored as the late night meal destination, the venue has served as the main residential dining hall for over 126,000 freshmen since 1973.
Vista Grande will officially close its doors on June 13 to begin development of the new dining complex. The current 16,899-square-foot building will be replaced with a new three-story, 35,000-square-foot facility. The new building will be LEED certified and feature integrated interior and exterior dining spaces for a one-of-a-kind Cal Poly dining experience. The new Vista Grande complex is the largest capital project in Cal Poly Corporation history.
