It Was a Year of Change
Change in Workspace
Cal Poly Partners purchased Mustang Business Park to increase classroom and student serving spaces throughout campus and help Cal Poly sustainably grow enrollment numbers. The off-campus facility opened its doors to staff in the spring.

Change in How Work Gets Done
Following employee feedback, Cal Poly Partners is implementing Workday, a cloud-based software that creates simplified, efficient, digitized Human Resources and budgeting processes.
Change in Venues
Cal Poly’s longest-operating food service facility reopened following a $40 million renovation. 1901 Marketplace revitalized the University Union and gave students a place to gather, create community and enjoy unique culinary offerings.

Change in Name
To better reflect our purpose; our vision to be the most impactful Cal Poly partner; and our mission to inspire, empower and push boundaries so that students, faculty and staff thrive, we changed our name to Cal Poly Partners.
In Our First Year as Cal Poly Partners
Technology Park Expansion
The new 16,200-square-foot expansion will increase the space available to university partners and further align the university’s mission of student success with workforce and innovation needs. This project is on schedule to be completed in late fall of 2024.

Cal Poly Partners Plaza
Looking out over the north endzone of Alex G. Spanos Stadium, the freshly minted Cal Poly Partners Plaza welcomes all fans, alumni, friends and family into a new era in Cal Poly Athletics. The plaza offers food and beverage concessions alongside a continuous connection to the action on the field and creates an immersive experience, bringing the tailgate to the field from kick off to final whistle.
Vista Meadows
Design and approval work has been completed on Vista Meadows, the latest addition to Cal Poly Partner’s faculty and staff housing program. Site work is scheduled to begin summer of 2024 on the six-acre parcel on the corner of the Grand Avenue and Slack Street. The faculty and staff neighborhood will include 33 single family homes with three distinct floor plans ranging from 1,600 to over 2,100 square feet.

Mortgage Assistance Program
To further help Cal Poly community members purchase a home within Cal Poly Partner developed communities, we launched a Mortgage Assistance Program that includes, among many features, no down payment or Private Mortgage Insurance requirement.
Mustang Shop Downtown and the CIE
We are bringing Mustang Shop Downtown and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship into one downtown location. The new building will provide ample space for the HotHouse and a great location for Mustang Shop Downtown.
